Gloria Kurz, the firm's founder and principal, has 21 years of real estate experience. She began her career in Greenwich, Connecticut and is a licensed real estate broker in both Rhode Island and Connecticut . She is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Rhode Island Association of Realtors, the Newport County Board of Realtors and the Eastern Connecticut Association of Realtors. She is a former member of both the American Bar Association and the State Bar of California.
Prior to commencing her real estate career in 1986, Gloria had a multi-disciplinary career path that included administrative management with CETA Title 1 programs in Orange County, California; experience as a Deputy District Attorney in Stanislaus County (Modesto), California; experience as a litigation associate with the law firm of Burns Jackson Miller Summit & Jacoby on Park Avenue in New York and marketing and consulting experience in the cosmetic, fragrance and fashion industry in Manhattan.
A consistent multi-million dollar producer, Gloria is a seasoned negotiator in luxury and super-luxury real estate. Known for her communication skills, Gloria is the publisher of the newsletter, "Real Estate Views." She founded the firm's "Care and Share" program that contributes to local non-profit organizations.
Gloria's husband, Rick, serves on the Board of Directors for Cakebread Cellars, a prestigious Napa Valley winery. They live in Jamestown and their golden retriever, Cru, often greets visitors to the Mansions & Manors office.
